Thomas G. Quin

Thomas G. Quin boasts 30 years of CPA experience. His areas of expertise include business consulting and advising, forensic accounting, litigation support, peer review and general accounting and auditing services.

Prior to QRLG, Tom was a founder and chief financial officer for a venture capital-backed medical company and served as a CFO for a garment manufacturer. His experience also includes a stint as a manager at a national accounting firm, where he specialized in technology and closely-held businesses.

In addition to compliance activity such as financial statements and tax returns, Tom continues his entrepreneurial interests with various business services. An example is his work these past four years as acting business manager, strategic planner, and contract negotiator for a medical practice that has grown from start-up to $35 million dollars in volume. Another example is his business advisor role while transitioning a family business after its founder's unexpected death.

Since 1990, Tom has taught accounting courses at Stonehill College. In the 1980s, he taught accounting and finance to MBA candidates at Suffolk University. He has been called on numerous times as an expert witness in court cases involving business issues.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves as a peer reviewer for both organizations.

Tom's community involvement includes officer positions in the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce and board member of the League School, which works with autistic students. Tom is also community liaison for Caritas Norwood Hospital's institutional review board.

Tom holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College, and an MBA from Boston College.
